Newsflash OCT 08

This is the time to start planning & booking your holiday to the Coral Coast, Pilbara, Kimberley and Northern Territory for 2009.

From Darwin or Broome to Perth self-drives or small group 4WD adventures to Kimberley cruising – early bookings are a must to avoid disappointment.

Albany
403 Km. South of Perth Albany is the main administration centre and port of the States Great Southern Region. Site of Western Australia's first settlement Albany is now a major tourist destination offering a wide variety of accommodation, fine dining and some of the most spectacular scenery on the south coast.

For many years Albany was a major whaling port and the old whaling station is now a museum and popular attraction and whilst whaling ceased many years ago the whales still return to the delight of visitors. From July to October the giant Southern Right whales gather in the sheltered harbour to suckle their newborn young, whale watch tours operate every day during the season.

Set off from Albany and tour Esperance and the Bay of Isles to the east or follow the coast west to Denmark and the winery district.
