Comments below from a couple from the USA who had not been on a coach tour before ... 9 day South Western Australian Coach tour was included as part of their Western Australia experience. Hi Leith We had a wonderful time. We've never been on a tour before so I wasn't sure what to expect, and I was a little concerned about how regimented it would be and about not having time to see as much as we wanted. We did have to stay on a schedule but it was a lot more fun, and we got to do and see a lot more than I thought possible. I think what really made the trip for us was Steve, our driver (he knows you and passed on greetings from you) and Cheri (can't remember her last name) who was the tour guide. They were both wonderful. Whenever we passed an area with wildflowers, Steve would pull over to the side of the road and Cheri would pull out a stack of wildflower guides, and we'd all get out and go searching for flowers. They knew the people and the places to take us, and they pointed out a lot of things we'd otherwise have missed, so I think we got to see and learn a lot more than we would have if we'd been on our own. I have a better opinion of tours now than I did before this trip. The other thing that really made the trip for us were the people on the bus. Except for us, it was filled with Australians from the east, mostly on their first trip to the west, and it was a lot of fun getting acquainted with them. Another thing that made it better than we expected were things that were added in. For example, when we stayed at Wave Rock, after dinner we got to meet an aborigines musician who played for us, told us about the music and about some of his culture. So yes, we had a wonderful time, and I really appreciate your effort in putting it all together. Having 3 days in Perth before the tour started was just about right. It gave us time to relax and get used to the time change. I hope we can get back to Australia sometime, and when we do, I'll contact you for the arrangements. Parthena & Clint - USA |
